Generous Giving

Thank you for your gospel partnership.

Generosity is a natural response when we encounter the love of God.

Making a regular financial contribution to the work of the local church is not only biblical but a practical way of supporting the vision and mission of the church.

There are several ways you can give financially to Wellspring:

Direct Debit

This is the best and most helpful way you can partner with Wellspring financially as it offers us some certainty as we plan the ministry activities of the church.

To set up direct deposit, please use the following details:

Online

You can give online by card. This is particularly useful and easy for one-off gifts. You can also make one-off direct deposits using the bank details on the left.

In Person

There's an opportunity to give via cash in the offertory box at the entrance of the church. There is also an EFTPOS terminal you can use if you'd prefer to give this way.

Why Give?

In 2 Corinthians, Paul writes to the church in Corinth about a collection he is taking for the church back in Jerusalem. In the letter, Paul encourages the church to give generously to this work. In his charge to the Corinthian church Paul makes a number of points which are important for us as we consider how we should use our money today.

Firstly, Paul notes that we ought to excel in the act of giving because this is a clear and practical demonstration that we truly know just how much Jesus gave for us, though he was rich, yet for our sake he became poor, so that we through his poverty might become rich (2 Cor 8:7-9). We ought to give generously financially because God has given generously to us, and will continue to do so.

Secondly, Paul encourages the Corinthians to give generously and cheerfully because God is pleased with us when we have this attitude. He also reminds them and us that God is trustworthy and he continues to bless us with more than we need for our life. Giving as a Christian is not only something that must be done, but we are to enjoy doing it!
