Wellspring Anglican Church is a parish formed by the coming together of two centrally-located Hobart Anglican Churches. BayWest Anglican (Sandy Bay) and Holy Trinity Anglican (North Hobart) merged in 2007. BayWest itself was the product of an earlier merger between West Hobart and Sandy Bay Anglican Churches.

The reason for creating a new parish was to form a vibrant, healthy, growing mainstream church, with a dynamic youth and children's program which is strongly engaged with the surrounding community in mission mode in central and southern Hobart. 

Wellspring is not one of these 'merge shrinking and unviable parishes' deals. We are moving forward on many fronts: numericially, in our mission, in our sense of community, and in our depth and relationship with God. We will begin building a new development on our current site in 2012 to accommodate our growing ministries.
